The Raphael brush workshop was founded in 1793 in Paris, very close to the Pont Neuf. Тhe company successfully combines tradition with new research and development to produce some of the best brushes in the world. Nowadays Raphael expands its product range and began offering a variety of art and hobby materials such as pastels, acrylic colours, glass, porcelain and textile paints.
The Raphael brush workshop was founded in 1793 in Paris, very close to the Pont Neuf. The company prospered despite the uncertainties of the revolution, the empire and the restoration. In 1859 Charles Sauer bought the company and moved it from Paris to Oinville. In 1925, the company was relocated to Saint-Brieuc where it remains today. The Sauer family have passed down the legacy of fine-art brush making from generation to generation.
